Ben Affleck Celebrates BFF Matt Damon with Adorable Throwback Photo for National Best Friends Day
Ben Affleck and Matt Damon's close friendship is one for the ages, and a perfect one to celebrate on this, National Best Friends Day.
Affleck took to Instagram Wednesday to honor his pal with a charming throwback photo collage of what appears to be a birthday party for Damon many years ago. (We say "many years" because they look so young in the photo)

"This guy," Affleck wrote in his caption for the photos, which features a smiling Damon being presented with a birthday cake, then Affleck putting his fingers in the cake's icing, then Damon smashing Affleck's face into the cake and finally, Affleck smiling for the camera with a face covered in icing. Aww.
The two actor's friendship was recently honored with the Guys of the Decadeaward at the Spike Guys Choice Awards, where the Oscar winners joked about being "D---- of the Decade."
Affleck and Damon essentially grew up together in Massachusetts. They bonded over a shared interest in filmmaking and years after moving to LA and finding solid work in the business, their Hollywood stock skyrocketed when their 1997 hit Good Will Hunting won two Oscars. The two pals have continued working together, currently on the HBO movie Thirst, the Syfy thriller Incorporated and an interactive competition series called The Runner.
